JACK REACHER

if you like tom cruise go see this movie.....it is not all action like his mission impssible movies so don;t expect a lot of action....it is more of a thinker movie....you got to figure out if this guy is guilty or not....i liked it...the book it is based on is too slow but the movie is better than the book..;ages 12 and up if you like mysteries....don;t expect a lot of action and you will like it....an 8 outa 10 or a big Cplus

parental guidance

sooooo funny ....billy crystal was hilarious and bette midler is always goood....we laughed so hard we cried....ages 10 and up will even like it.....the show was funnier than the commercial for it....we gave it a 9 out 10 ..a big Bplus enjoy........

guilty trip

seth rogan and barbara streisand were ok and so was the show...the funniest parts were the previews on tv...i was ver dissappointed...it was great to see ol' barabra but not such a funny show....a 7 out of 10 or a big C all ages could watch it but i doubt the under 12 year olds will like it

RISE OF THE GUARDIAN....definitely a kiddies movie for ages 10 and up because of some scary parts to give nightmare...i could have waited for it to be out on tv....joanne liked it ....i gave it a 7 out of 10 only because it could have gone straight to video...it was OK..thats all i can say

HOBBIT

if you like movies like the lord of the rings etc....then you will love this one..the special effects were amazing and almost believeable.....a very intense movie but a little scary for children under 12 years....personnally i loved it...a big 9 out of 10 or a big Bplus

it was ok ,,,,,could have gone straight to video....gerard butler is always good to see but the movie lacked in plot...anyone that loves soccor should enjoy  more than most ,,,i give it a 6 out 10 or a C......ages 12 and up

SILVER LININGS PLAYLIST

with bradley cooper and jennifer lawrence....was a surprise comedy to me...the preview is not very good at letting you know what it was about....i won't tell you except that it was a nice light comedy and bradley cooper was great in as a mental case and then his father robert denero is also one too...ages 12 and up will get a laugh out of it...8 out 10 or big Cplus..

KILLING THEM SOFTLY

definitely a guy movie....shoot em up kind of movie...it was ok to watch with my sun but too violent for me...i gave it a 6 out 10 and definitely not for children...even with brad pitt in it didn't make a great movie.....

LINCOLN

if you like political speaches, and politics then you will love this movie....the acting was great and daniel day lewis will probably be nominated for an academy award....but i was bored throughout the movie and it rates as one of the worst movies i have ever sat through...my movie buddy loved it so you might too....the battle scences were too gruesome for me....very politically motivated and good for students to learn about lincoln.....i gave it a one out of 10 or a big D-minus.......?????

SKYFALL

anyone who likes james bond movies and daniel craig will like this movie,,,they boasted that it was the best one yet but we did not think so....it is worth seeing but it is not as terrific as they are advertising it to be....a 9 out of 10 or a big B...12 years and older

FLIGHT....with Danzel washington was pretty good.....if you are a fan of danzel the go see it....ages 18 plus,,,we enjoyed it but it put me off flying haha.....rated it 8 out 10 or a big Cplus

seven phycopaths...with colin farrell, was a little gruesome but funny....it was an unexpected suprise....not for young ....too much killing going on...but if was a comedy....a 9 out 10 or big B;plus

here comes the boom with kevin james.....was hilarious exspecially if you are a mixed martial arts or takwon do fan...because my boys enjoyed these sports when they were younger , i really enjoyed this movie...kevin james is hilarious in this move...a definite B plus for this one a 9 out of 10 for sure.....

LAWLESS.....at last a pretty good movie....i enjoy shia lebuff. so i enjoyed this movie....it was a little over the top with violence....guys would love this movie....no for children, thats for sure.....8 out 10 or a C-plus......

hit and run.....again the preview was the best part.....it was pretty pathetic and language to gross....very dissapointed.....4 out 10 ...another D movie

sparkle-----with whitney houston and jordin sparks....it was ok but it made me a bit sad that whitney ended her life too soon....it was definitely her comeback movie and i am sure she would have begun her career again as a result of movie......wait for tv for this one,,,,nothing special about it....a 6 out of 10 or a c- ......

TOTAL RECALL with colin ferth....i was never a fan of him but he did a good job in this movie....it was definitely action packed but not for young children and more of a guy movie than a chick movie....i enjoyed it with my son .....rated it a 7 out of 10 or a big C.........

batman......wellll definitely not for younger children...a little to violent and too long a movie(over 2 hours)...half way thru i was wishing it was over.....the villian in the movie had a mask over his mouth and it was hard to understan what he was saying half the time, so as a result it was hard to follow the plot.....i give it a 7 out 10 or a c-minus,,,,,dont expect much and you might like it better than i did......

ice age....what a dissappointment for me....the first one of coarse was the best....this one is good for ages 4 to 12 and then it might be a little borrowing for us older children...storyline is pathetic ....my movie buddy liked it but i only give it a 4 out of 10 or a D ...if you don;t expect much you might like it....awfully expensive of a one hour movie.....

spiderlman.....i thought it was pretty good for older children like myself...you have to be a marvel comics fan to like ....i enjoyed it more than i expected....i would say children over six would probably sit still for the non-action and lots of romance..i like emma stone and i grew to like the leading man, garfield in the movie....if you like that kind of action , then go see it....i give it a 7 out of 10 or a Cplus.....

MAGIC MIKE.....the commercial is better than the movie....definitely for adults not kids under 18....it was ok....the story line was weak but if you like tatum channing you might like it....the music was pretty good and thats about it....a 5 out 10 or Cminus.....

seeking a friend for the end of the world....what a waste of time...i didn;t intend on seeing this movie but i went to see magic mike and i got the time wrong ,.. so i only had this movie to see at that time....it was probably the worst i have seen this year...it was so bad that it lasted one week in the theaters and it was gone....i like steve carell but this was even bad for him....a definite zero out of 10..or Dminus...haha

TED...definitely an adult movie,,,,21 years and up....donlt let that cute teddy fool you...i was not keen to see this movie, but it was better than i expected...the humor was a little to dirty for me but the storyline was not too bad.....it had some funny moments and mark walberg is definite nice to watch haha....we gave it a 7 out of 10 or a C -plus

BRAVE...what a great pixar movie....we loved it....so will all kids, big and little ages 4 to 100...loved by all...the animation is superb and the storyline is very touching...any mother and daughter will shed a tear of two over storyline....a must see....10 out 10 or a big A.......

rock of ages...if you like musicals you will definitely like this movie,,,,but if you don't, then do not go see this movie...i have always loved musical, so i really enjoyed the movie...there is definitely too much sexual content in the movie to recommend this movie to kids under 18 years old....it should be rated 18A but it is not so watch out.....the music is fantastic if you know who the foreigner or any great 80's songs you will love this movie.....i really enjoyed it....i was surprised that tom cruise could really sing quite well...his part in the movie was quite raunchie but he did ranchie quite well......i give it a 9 out of 10 or a B plus....

what to expect when you're expecting.....a surprisingly funny movie...anyone that has gone through a preganancy will relate to this movie and have a good laugh,,,even the fellas might like it....the many stars in it are great to watch ...it is done very tastefully....definitely for all mothers to go see and have a wee laugh....a 9 out 10 or B plus

the exotic marigold hotel...the english humor is priceless....this was a most enjoyable movie,,,,the audience even clapped at the end of the movie.....i would say 12 and up only because the jokes may be hard to get and not enough action for the younger crowd....we rated it a 10 out 10...a well desered A RATING.....enjoy

snow white and the huntsman.....it was pretty good....definitely not a fairytale....i am not a fan of kirsten stewart, but she did her part pretty good....and hemsworth was a little too unkept and dirty all through the movie....i give it a 8 out of 10 or a big Cplus...charlez was of coarse a great actress...definitely for older children, so as not to scare the younger kids or burst their fairy tale stories.......

5 year engagement

the theater was full  but the movie was dissappointing....two much graphic sex in it for me.....and it was not that funny,,,,they say it is jason segal's first bomb...wait for the video and then you can fast forward parts of it....a 7 out of 10 or a big C ages 21 to ????

the lucky one

i read the  book so i wanted to see this movie....the theater was full of women and a few men....the movie was ok but waiting for the video is ok too....zac efron showed how good an actor he was not just a song and dance man.....i enjoyed it.....definitely for ages 18 and up cause of love scences....i give it a 7 out of 10 or a big C

21 jump street

there was nothing else to see but this movie because i had seen them all already.....so i went grudgingly to this movie and quite enjoyed it...it was a little raunchy for my taste but if you can overlook the bad language and dirty actions, you could enjoy it....the storyline was pretty good and funny but this movie is definitely for over 18 year old crowd and a little hard on us older generation..this is the first time i enjoyed watching jonah hall acting,,,,i give it a 8 out 10 or a Cplus

mirror mirror

what a delightful movie.,...i did not expect it to be so amusing...it is definitely a different take on the original snow white story...there is some similiarities but very different and cute to watch...children 6 and up will like this movie as long as they understand it is not the real snow white story....i would say it is an action comedy and prince charming is lovely and phil collin's daughter lily does a lovely snow white......and julia roberts is a great bad step-mother....we really enjoyed it......9 out of 10 or a Bplus for sure......

the hunger games

after a lot of hype we finally got to see this much anticipated movie....the book was excellent , so that is hard to beat....i think people that have not read the book will like the movie better than we did....its hard to put so much into 2 hours....the movie is definitely more entertainiing for ages 12 to 20 and not us oldies but goodies....there is so much in the movie that is missing , that is in the book so that makes us more critical...if you do not expect much compared to the book , you will enjoy it....we were slightly dissappointed....haymitch did not get as big a part in the movie as he projected in the book and that goes for a lot of the main characters of the book.....what was portrayed in the movie was ok...so we gave this movie an 8 out of 10 or a CPLUS....ENJOY

safe house

danzel washington and ryan reynolds were excellent but it was a little too violent for me....very action packed but violent....they played their parts real well tho....joanne picked movie this time...she liked it more than me ,,,i give it a 7 out of 10 cause of violents.....or a big C ages 14 and up..a guy movie for sure....

my movie buddy's choice,,,,i didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised...the special effects were amazing and taylor hitsh can act and he is from burnaby.....you have to pay attention to what the subtitles say and what they say to get the jest of the movie so as a result i would recommend it to ages 8 and up....it was very action packed  but definitely a fantasy movie and by disney ....i did not know that before....i really enjoyed the movie for what it was.....i give it a 9 out of 10 or a B-plus

act of valor

 i almost forgot i saw this movie too...my movie buddy;s pick....the acting was terrible but i don't like gruesome war movies very much.....real navy seals acted in it.....if you like war movies go see this one....no known actors in it....i was glad when it was over....was very action packed but it saddened me.....it gets a 5 out 10 or a C-.........

the artist

wow that was a surprise....i did not expect the artist to be such an entertaining movie.....no wonder it got so many academy awards...it was the best movie i have seen for a long time....it was so well done , that you did not need words....it made me cry as well as laugh ......it was worth every penny...a definite A ratiing or 10 out of 10..... ages 12 and up because of no dialogue, they have to read subtiltes quickly and not mine no words and color.....a must see.......

the vow

if you like tatum channing , you will this movie....i was glad i saw it but i would wait for dvd of it...it is ok but it was interesting that it was a true story....my movie buddy thought it was ok....i give it a 7 out of 10 or a Cplus ages 12 and up....

i was not intending on seeing this movie because i thought it looked like another sappy romantic comedy but actually it turned out to be an action packed, funny romantic comedy....i think both men and women would enjoy it, even kids would.. that are 12 and up.....it was an unexpected delight....chris pine and hardy the male stars were quite funny and if you like reese witherspoon you will love this show....we gave it a 9 outta 10...a Bplus....

journey two

with the rock or dwayne johnson...i wanted to see this movie because he was in it but it was definitely for the kiddies(5 years to 13) then i think it is too bad a plot to the older crowd...i did not enjoy this one...the 3D effect was the only thing good about this movie....the plot was weak and so were the actors who supported dwayne....but i think the younger kids loved it....it got a 5 out 10 from me(c-)

the lady in black

this was definitely not the type of movie we usually go to see but we decided to try something different and a little scary.....danielle radcliffe definitely showed he could act....it was scary with all the sound effects but the story was a little depressing and we did jump a bit but on the whole the movie was ok ,,definitely a dark movie ...if you feel like something dark and different then go see it...it is not a movie i want to see again...not for children under 18....i would give it a 7 out of 10 or a big C

the grey

anything with liam neeson in is usually good but this one is pointless....the preview is the best part and you leave the theater feeling deflated....there definitely is some tense and action filled moments but the story is weak and depressing....we both found it not so good....we gave it a 6 out of 10 or a C-....

extremely loud and incredibly close

i will go see anything with tom hanks in...he was not in it very much but i enjoyed what little screentime he had...the show was different and enjoyable...the boy actor was very good cause he had to play a child with "asbergers"which if you don't know is a high form of autism....it is the kind of show that at the end you feel you have to see it again cause there are parts you missed cause the ending is unpredictable...it feels slow at times but when you get to the end of the movie you understand why.......ages 10 and up will enjoy it if they are not looking for a action packed or funny movie....a thinking movie....an 8 out of 10 or Cplus for sure....

what a way to end the year,,,,watching a porno movie......haha.....that was totally unexpected for me and my movie buddy....i read the book which i really enjoyed but of coarse the movie wasn;t as good....daniel craig is great and the girl did a wonderful job acting the part , but it was too much full frontal for me...the story was hard to follow unless you read the book....i give it a 7 out of 10 or a C rating......it is not for anyone under 21 or over 50 haha.....stick to the book and watch when out on video and then you can fast forward some of these parts......
