various movies noted below

sorry i was off feet for awhile so i am behind in blogging movies, so i will just list last 3 weeks of

movies with ratings and recommendations:
larry crowne-tom hanks- i enjoyed it very much-definitely for older crown- rated it 8 out of 10--c-plus

horrible bosses--i definitely liked it...was funny adult humor--not for kids---rated 9 out 10-- B rating

harry potter-my girlfriend is a big fan....she really liked it.,...it was ok for me--rated 6 out 10--c-rating

transformers-- definitely for kids 6 and up ,,,i thought was ok...too much special effects--6 outa 10--c

zookeeper---what a waste of money,..real bad,,,kevin james i like but movie terrible--3 outa 10--c-

crazy stupid love--excellent romantic comedy...i love steve carell...9 outa 10--B rating

captain america--very good action movie...kids will love it , i did...9 outa 10--B rating

cowboys and aliens- enjoyed it but not the best yet..ages 8 and up--8 outa 10-c-plus

green lantern

the province gave this movie a bad rating, so i was not expecting much and we were pleasantly surprised...i ll go see ryan reynolds in any thing and he sure looked great playing the green lantern
...both my girlfriend and the rest of the audience loved it...it was funny, action packed and great special effects...definitely for 8 years and up (some of the monster might give little ones nightmares.)..i give it a 8 out of 10 (C+ )enjoy

super 8

i was maybe too excited to see this movie,,,because it was not as good as my excitement was....don';t get me wrong ,,,,it was a good movie and i am glad i saw it but sometimes it is better to not expect as much then it is better than expected,,,if you know what i mean....the new actors in the movie were very good and the movie was action packed and great to watch.....better for kids 10 and up,,,,just cause special effects could give younger kids nightmares.....i would give it a 8 out of 10 (Cplus)

kungfu panda II

this sequel was better than the first kungfu panda....i was surprised it was better...i thought it was cute...it had more of a story to it....children 6 and up will probably like it better than me...i give it a 6 out of 10 (a C ) wait for video......

X-men

i went with my son to see this sequel, and he enjoyed it more than me,,,it was ok,  the one with hugh jackman in it before this one ,was definitely better...more of a guy movie...ages 12 and up.....i would give it a 6 out of 10(a C )I would wait for video...

something borrowed

what a surprise hit....my daughter took me out for my birthday and this was the only movie i had not seen so we went to it and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was....it was not your tipical comedy...we both gave it a 10 out 10...(a Bplus)kate hudson is starring in it and a few new actors .,.who were very good(especially one who looked like tom cruz when he was younger...but cuter ha ha

water for elephants

i am glad i went to see it,,,the book of coarse was the best....robert pattersen surprised me in how good he did in his role....i have more respect from him as an actor now....if you have not read book , you would have still liked it but the book helps you understand the movie better....it is safe for children 10 and up ....i would give it a 7 out of 10 (a C rating)  ...

pirates of the carabean with johnny depp

i didnot expect this sequel to be so good....it had a great story line and was much better than the last sequel...it was refreshing and funny...johnny depp is wonderful to watch in it....even tho i am not a fan of penelope cruz it was still a good movie,,,definitely for children 10 and up ,,,and not scarey but action packed...i would give it a 9 or 10 out of 10...worth the money

hangover part ll

i thought i had enough smutt from bridesmaids but this movie was even worst....although the first hangover was pretty vulgar , at least it made me laugh on occasion...well this part ll didnot make me laugh at all and the rest the audience hardly laughed tooo....the story was weak ...and too much repeating from first movie..being done in bangkok didn;t help the movie either....definitely not for the faint of heart or under 30 haha...i would give it a 6 out 10

bridesmaids

if you liked the movie " hangover",,,,or don't mind vulgar then go see it....it was funny in parts,,,the guys in the audience laughed harder than the girls in the audience....it is definitely for 18 years or over 30 years ha ha.....i am glad i saw it but that is enough smutt in my life for awhile haha....i hesitantly give it an 8 out of 10......

rio

a delightful, colorful movie....definintely for all ages...the only thing negative about the movie was that they said "shut up" at least 5 times.....i enjoyed the movie,,,it was cute....i would give it a 7 out of 10..

thor

hesitant to see it,,so i was very surprised it was so good.....it was action packed as well as funny in spots....both my friend joanne and i really liked it and so did the audience....i would definitely recommend it.....ages 10 and up...i would give it a 9 out of 10....enjoy.....

hanna

was suppose to be a high speed action movie but it wasn`t that high speed,,,about a girl trained to be an asassine with her father and then she is set out into the world to survive....we were not sure what to expect and thought it might be better that way but it didn`t improve our apinion that much.....it was ok ...i would give it a 7 out of 10..,.the little girl was an excellent actress in it...wait for rental....

arthur with russell brandl and helen mirren

of coarse the orginal movie with dudley moore is hard to beat because he was so short and cute......this remake was ok,,not great but cute,,,,alot of movie focused on his drinkiing problem till he finally joined AAA...JENNIFER GARDNER was good in it....russell brand did his best ,,,i don;t dislike him as much as before now...older kids might like it....i give it a 6 out of 10

hop

definitely a kiddy movie ,,,,4 years and up....kids 12 or 13 might not like it.,...i thought it was ok.....my girlfriend patty liked it....james madsen is the star and i like him,,,so that helped....i would give it a 5 out of 10....i would wait for video....was a little far fetched and storyline was weak,,,especially the ending was weak....

starring jake gyllenhall... it was like the movie "groundhog day" only not as good and more of a disaster movie...her keeps reliving a train explosion....and trys to stop it....i enjoyed it but i wouldnot say it was my favorite.....is ok for 10 years and up ....i would give it a 7 out of 10..

limitless

the best movie i have seen since kings speech....a real brain teaser....which is what the movie is about,,,,brad cooper is lovely in it and his acting is very good also...it has a good plot and makes it believable...robert deniro is excellent as usual even if it is a small part but significant part....i give it a 10 out of 10,,,,,is safe for older children 10 and up if they can follow it.....enjoy...
